Even though I put this under roof repair, it was actually the removal of my chimney that was leaking. Even though it would have been easier to repair the leak around the chimney, I opted for removing the chimney so I could use the inside of the chimney to run plumbing from the attic to the basement. Jim was right on time, and knew exactly what he was doing. This was strenuous work, as the chimney’s mortar joints were in good shape. He took the bricks off layer by layer until it was below the roof rafters. After a short break, he added new wood where needed, and shortly thereafter, it looked like he’d never even been there. I recommend this to those who aren’t using their chimney any longer, because of having vents out the side of their home for energy efficient water heaters & furnaces. Very nice job on the cleanup.
